The
Gem Hosts Beer Dinner for Rotary of the Smithfields
Wednesday,
April 21, 2010 (Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania)
– The Gem and Keystone Brewpub is hosting a
Beer Dinner on Thursday, April 22nd at 6:00 pm to
benefit Rotary of the Smithfields of PA.
Rotary International brings together
business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian
service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations,
and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Rotary’s
best-known motto is "Service above Self",
and its secondary motto is "They profit most
who serve best”.
“The Gem is happy to support such
a worthy cause. It is wonderful to work with organizations
that care so much for others and the community”,
said Rob Howell, General Manager of The Shawnee Inn
and Golf Resort. Rob is also a member of the Stroudsburg
Chapter of Rotary.
The Beer Dinner will feature six ShawneeCraft®
Beers paired with six courses. The six courses are:
Curried Parmesan Crisps paired with Session Mild Ale,
Jumbo Bier Poached Shrimp paired with Biere Blanche,
Grilled Quail paired with Double Pale, a Raspberry
Blanche Intermezzo, Roasted Buffalo Rib Eye served
with a Bourbon Porter, and a Mountain Valley Shepherd's
Sheepamid served with a V.S.O.P.
“A lot of time and thought went
into this menu and the pairings”, says Dan Rothman,
General Manager at the Gem and Keystone Brew Pub.
“So we are looking forward to pleasing everyone’s
taste buds and raise funds for a great cause.”

$70.00 and will be located at the Gem and Keystone
